The Netherwing are a group of dragons found in the Shadowmoon Valley of the Outland. They are very distrustful of outsiders as they have been enslaved by all manner of creatures throughout their history. The Netherwing are not native to Outland. Before the Burning Legion destroyed Draenor, Deathwing came through the Dark Portal with his black dragon eggs, thinking Draenor would be a safe place to raise his offspring. After Deathwing left to return to Azeroth, Ner'zhul opened many portals on Draenor. This action created a lot of magical instability. One of the side effects of this event was that the black dragon eggs absorbed some of the energy that was unleashed, thus giving birth to the first generation of netherwing dragons. The Netherwing are ethereal and can phase between astral and physical planes. This requires using a great of deal of energy however and as a result, the Netherwing have a shorter lifespan than other dragon breeds.

The Ogri'la are a group of ogres foundi n the Blade's Edge Mountains. They are a peaceful group of ogres, often putting them at odds with other ogres. Despite the historically brutal nature of ogres, the Ogri'la are friendly to any race that is willing to put aside racial stereotypes and accept the Ogri'la as productive members of society. These ogres think of themselves as enlightened because of their peaceful nature. They owe this transcendance to the apexis crystals found in the Blade's Edge Mountains. They are led by Mog'dorg the Wizened, a powerful ogre mage, who would leave Outland for Azeroth to aid in the fight against Deathwing. Apexis crystals are a valued commodity in Outland, sought after by the Burning Legion and the black dragons. This puts the Ogri'la in a hostile relationship with these groups, that seemingly goes against their otherwise peaceful nature.

They are not allied with the Burning Legion but would consider doing so if they felt it would be profitable to do so. In this way, they are very similar to goblins in that they value profits above all else. They are also more technically advanced than any other species in Azeroth. They practice a kind of magic known as technomancy, which likely explains how they have perfected technology that no other species have come close to perfecting.

The Mag'har are a group of orcs that live in the Outland. Unlike the orcs in Azeroth, they managed to avoid demonic corruption at the hands of the Burning Legion. As a result, their skin is brown, not green. The Azerothian orcs have a green skin because of the fel blood coursing through their veins. Upon encountering them in the Outlands, Thrall is happy to have them join with the Horde. There, the Mag'har work alongside their Azerothian brothers to teach one another about the differences in their cultures and the history of the clans. Many ages ago, a plague ravaged the orc clans of Draenor. The village of Garadar was formed to serve as a place where orcs that were untouched by the plague could live safely until the plague could be eradicated. Those orgs came to be the Mag'har, which is Orcish for uncorrupted. Garrosh Hellscream, former Warchief of the Horde was a Mag'har and served as the leader of the Mag'har military when Thrall came to Outland. When the Horde and Alliance joined forces to defeat the Lich King, the Mag'har, led by Garrosh Hellscream fought valiantly against the scourge threat. Aegwynn's arrogance led her to face Sargeras alone. She naively thought she defeated Sargeras in a battle that weakened her greatly. In this time, Sargeras transferred his essence into her body. When Aegwynn became pregnant with Medivh, Sargeras transferred his essence over to him, unkown to both Medivh and Aegwynn. Once Medivh became aware of Sargeras' presence, he fought against him, a battle that drove him insane. It was only through the intervention of Aunduin Lothar and Medivh's own apprentice, Khadgar, that Medivh was defeated. The Aldor would eventually return to Shattrath City and began to rebuild. This caused many rumors and stories to envelop Outland as many flocked to Shattrath City to see the return of the Naaru. Since that time, The Aldor have had a hostile relationship with their blood elf counterparts, the Scryers. They see the Scryers as disloyal to Shattrath City due primarily to the actions of Kael'Thas Sunstrider, despite the fact that the Scryers did not support and fought against Kael'Thas when it became known he wanted to use the Sunwell to summon his demon lord, Kil'jaeden.
