The Dragonmaw Clan is a group of orcs that can trace it's ancestry back to Draenor. When the Horde and Alliance forces first clashed, the Dragonmaw Clan came to Azeroth and pledged themselves to fight with Warchief Blackhand. The Dragonmaw Clan would continue to serve the Horde Warchiefs until forming an alliance with Deathwing. With the power given to the Dragonmaw Clan by Deathwing, the Dragonmaw Clan enslaved the red dragons, including Queen Alexstrasza. This made the Dragonmaw Clan invaluable to the Horde during the second war between the Horde and Alliance as the Dragonmaw Clan forced the red dragons to fight alongside the Horde. Despite this, the Horde lost the war and the Dragonmaw Clan lost control of the red dragons. Furious at their years of captivity, the red dragons destroyed Grim Batol, forcing the Dragonmaw Clan to run and hide, taking refuge in the Wetlands and Twilight Highlands. There, they remained relatively quiet aside from a minor clash here or there with the Wildhammer Clan. Powerless, they pledged themselves to Illidan Stormrage and took to their old tricks, enslaving the nether dragons found in Shadowmoon Valley. They would later be recruited by Garrosh Hellscream to join the modern Horde.
