The Wyrmrest Accord is an alliance between the red, bronze, green, and black dragons. Initially created in response to Malygos and the blue dragons declaring open war against any and all magic users, The Wyrmrest Accord also serves to battle the scourge threat plaguing Dragonblight. Led by Alexstrasza, the Wyrmrest Accord would be successful in their campaigns both against the Lich King and against Malygos. During this war, they learned that not all of the blue dragons supported Malygos' mission of ending magic by non-dragons. The blue dragon Kalecgos joined the Wyrmrest Accord, dividing the blue dragonflight and creating a civil war. After the defeat of the Lich King, The Wyrmrest Accord worked together with heroes of Azeroth to power the Dragon Soul and stop Deathwing before he could bring destruction to all of Azeroth.
