The Silver Covenant is a group of elves that have allied themselves with the Alliance. Led by Vereesa Windrunner, younger sister to both Alleria and Sylvanas Windrunner, the Silver Covenant is tasked with preventing the Horde from becoming too powerful. Despite the Kirin Tor being a neutral faction, the Silver Covenant prefers to keep the blood elves and other Horde factions from joining the elite mages. Operating out of Dalaran, the Silver Covenant use non-lethal force to prevent any members of the Horde from trespassing on their territory. Despite their anti-Horde agenda, when Deathwing rises and becomes a threat to Azeroth, the Silver Covenant work with Vol'jin to stop the Amani uprising in Zul'Aman. After Deathwing's defeat however, The Silver Covenant returned to being enemies of the Horde by capturing several renegade members of the Sunreavers after Jaina Proudmoore ordered the arrest of every Sunreaver due to their alleged involvement in aiding Garrosh Hellscream from invading Darnassus via portals inside Dalaran.
