Orgrimmar is the capital city of the orcs and of the Horde in general. It was founded by then Warchief Thrall after leading an orcish rebellion against their human overlords. This rebellion coincided with the second invasion of the Burning Legion. While the humans and night elves were battling back the massive army of demonic invaders, as well as the rise of a new power in the Lich King, Thrall led his people to Kalimdor where he met the Darkspear trolls. His wanderings would eventually lead him to discover the Tauren, thus forming the Horde. Orgrimmar was built inside of a giant canyon and is truly an impressive sight to behold. In honor of his mentor and former Warchief of the orcs, Orgrim Doomhammer, Thrall named the new orc capital Orgrimmar.
