The Alliance Vanguard is a group of Alliance factions present in Northrend with the purpose of eliminating the scourge threat and ending the Lich King's reign of terror. The Alliance Vanguard oversees four different groups, each tasked with a different purpose. The Valiance Expedition consists of soldiers directly doing battle against the Lich King's forces. The Explorers' League is a group of dwarves interested in documenting the history of the dwarven race. They would encounter the Frostborn, a group of dwarves native to the Northrend that are led by Yorg Stormheart who is really Muradin Bronzebeard with amnesia. The Explorers' League would convince the Frostborn to join the Alliance Vanguard to do battle against the Lich King and his scourge army. The Silver Covenant, while also invested in stopping the Lich King, are focused more on keeping tabs on the Horde. They recognize that the Horde could potentially use the war against the Lich King as a way to strike a blow against the Alliance while their attention is focused on more pressing matters.
